Classes will concentrate on learning stronger skills for more confidence and success when painting landscapes (including skies and night scenes). Both outdoor and studio painting will be covered, including painting from photos and outdoor sketches.

Attention will focus on choosing subject matter, composition, design, value spheric perspective and how to acheive a good sense of distance in a landscape.

Discussed also will be supplies, materials, and equipment and how to take better pnotos for use in the studio.

Demonstrations, group critiques, and lots of personal attention are included.

Classes will be held outdoors or indoors depending on the weather.

Students may be beginner to advanced. Though oil paint is prefered, students are welcome to use pastels. I do not recommend using acrylics outside unless the student has lots of experience with it and understands the challenges of it's rapid drying process.
