This class will focus on skills needed for more success in landscape painting outdoors and in the studio . Special attention will be paid to choosing a subject, getting a strong start, and the use of dramatic and subtle light. Class will also cover painting skies and how to better show distance, atmosphere, and how to use light patterns. Composition, value, light direction, design,color, atmospheric perspective, and paint technique will all be covered. Demonstrations, group critique, and lots of personal attention are included. This workshop will be held outdoors and or indoors depending on weather. Please bring photos and/or sketches to work from. Students may be beginner to advanced and use any medium, but should have a good knowledge of the medium they will use..
